IBS – Integrated Building Solutions successfully executed the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of water pressure boosting and chilled water circulation systems for the Hilton Garden Inn project in Riyadh, a hospitality development where guest comfort depends on consistent water pressure and stable cooling throughout the building.

The systems were installed within the building plant rooms and integrated with the hotel mechanical infrastructure, with control and protection arranged for continuous round-the-clock operation and straightforward maintenance access.

IBS Scope of Work

IBS was responsible for:

  • Supplying and installing a packaged water pressure booster set with vertical multistage pumps on a common base frame, complete with flanged manifold, isolation valves and anti-vibration connectors

  • Installing a diaphragm pressure vessel to stabilise system pressure and reduce pump cycling

  • Supplying and installing the pump control panel with touchscreen interface and variable speed drive control

  • Supplying and installing vertical in-line chilled water circulation pumps within the plant room, complete with expansion vessel

  • Installing insulated chilled water pipework and connections to the building distribution network

  • Installing control panels incorporating ABB switchgear, Danfoss variable speed drive control and fully identified wiring for maintenance access

  • Testing, commissioning and handover of the complete installation

Products Supplied

The project utilised Niagara vertical multistage and vertical in-line pumps, supplied as packaged pressure boosting and chilled water circulation sets, with control panels incorporating ABB switchgear and Danfoss variable speed drive control.

Vertical in-line chilled water circulation pumps and insulated pipework installed by IBS in the plant room of the Hilton Garden Inn, Riyadh

System Advantages

  • Consistent water pressure in every guest room and on every floor, maintained automatically as demand changes

  • Variable speed control matching pump output to real demand, lowering energy consumption and operating noise

  • Pressure vessel limiting pump starts and extending equipment service life

  • Insulated chilled water pipework reducing thermal loss and supporting stable cooling performance

  • Clearly identified panel wiring, shortening fault finding and routine maintenance for the hotel engineering team

Project Value

This project demonstrates IBS capability to deliver the mechanical systems that underpin guest comfort in an operating hotel, combining water pressure boosting and chilled water circulation within a single delivered scope, executed to the standards expected by an international hospitality operator.
